Haynes Entertainment seeks to bring high quality entertainment through traditional media such as film, television, graphic novels, comic books, and animation. The primary goal of our company is to shatter traditional stereotypes and misconceptions of African Americans and people of African heritage.
Haynes Entertainment was founded in 2002 by Gerald G. Haynes, a filmmaker who lives in Los Angeles. The company's first independent short film, "Hysteria," enjoyed a successful debut at the 2005 Pan African Film and Arts Festival. This past summer, "Hysteria" also thrilled audiences when it aired on BET-J's "The Best Shorts."
Haynes Entertainment is currently in development on a science fiction short film project which deals with a young gifted quarterback who must deal with a heart condition that ends his career.
Gerald graduated from the USC School of Cinema-TV in 1998. Later, he studied screenwriting at UCLA's Extension Program and was awarded a Certicate in Screenwriting in 2000. |
